  • Cieran is very excited to announce the birth of his new baby brother, Gabriel Thomas Kelso, on Tuesday 9th April 2013 at 7.31am weighing 7lb 4oz. Our family is now complete. Thank you to everyone for their kind messages and wishes.

In June Cieran will be back to see his prosthetic specialist in Leeds for new flippers.

On 26th May, Gary will be running the Manchester 10k dressed as Monty the duck for The Meningitis Trust. Please contact us for ways to sponsor Gary!

  • Well March has started off incredible!

On Sunday 3rd March we celebrated Gemma's birthday as well as going to this years Meningitis Family Day and met some incredibly inspiring families. We had a fantastic day at Martin Mere and Cieran and Layla-Eve loved seeing the black swans and their babies and also seeing the otters being fed!

  • We have had a very quiet month except for Half Term, where we kept very busy with trips to the cinema to see Wreck It Ralph, walks in Marbury Country Park (training for the Pennines Way!), pottery painting in Blakemere Craft Centre and baking and craft days at home with Layla-Eve!

  • Happy New Year! We hope everybody had an incredible Christmas and New Year?

2013 is set to be a fantastic year and the wheels are in motion for lots of fundraising this year, including the Pennine Way walk organised by Paul Tyler and Gary. Dates to be confirmed but further details can be obtained from Gary or Gemma if anyone would like to meet them along the way for a stroll.

On 24th January Cieran appears in an article in Pick Me Up Magazine. The story is about the swimming flippers Gary and Gemma had specially manufactured for Cieran.

  • We are very proud of Cieran's daddy, Gary, as he is taking part in Movember and raising money for mens cancers, by simply growing a moustache. Unfortunatly Gemma and Layla are not so impressed with the spiky kisses!

We are massively grateful and overwhelmed with the huge efforts of the MTFU team! They have raised a phenominal £3892.13 towards Cieran's legs. Thank you is not enough for these amazing peopel x

We are all looking forward to a busy month in December and meeting Santa to give him our lists.
